LTC John R. Motley

Dear Madara Family,

My name is John Motley and I am a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, currently serving in Baghdad, Iraq.   I have been here for four weeks and have been working with the Iraqi Scouting Program on Victory Base Complex.  Last Saturday, we were the recipients of a wonderful box of soccer balls that were sent in honor of Nick’s memory.  I was so touched by the accompanying letter, flyer, and picture that described Nick’s life and his desire to help the Iraqi people.  I thought you might enjoy receiving some pictures of the Iraqi kids receiving the soccer balls after the Scout meeting last Saturday (8/15/10).  Please know that your son’s memory lives on among the soldiers currently serving in Iraq, and especially among the Iraqi children that benefited from the very generous gift.

Thanks again for carrying on Nick’s memory in such a wonderful way.  May God’s Blessings be with you and your family!

Best wishes,
John
