Mr. Madaras,

My name is LTC Roberto Garcia. I am a Deputy Provincial Reconstruction Team leader. I am in charge of managing and providing assets for a State Department team, professionals from all walks of life. So they can perform there jobs and instruct and rebuild the local governments.

I was fortunate to receive a box of Soccer Balls. I am in charge of a FOB Forward Operating Base on the most Southwest part of Iraq. I gave one ball to the governor of NAJAF Province, so he can give to one deserving child. I informed him of your son, and the foundation you have created. The expression on his face was of a parent. Just that expression alone. I know we will overcome all the obstacles, and help the people of Iraq.

I also met with the Chief of police and the Education Director for the province. They were in amazement of the acts of kindness you have shown.

I am here in a location where we are the farthest unit south west of Iraq.
There have been no Coalition forces there since 2005. So to be in there and help is very rewarding. I can never feel your loss, but know i will do everything i can within my power to make sure we tell the story of your son, and your act of kindness.

Once again Please give my heartly felt appreciation to your family and all the fine americans of your group.

V/R
Bob
